• Why should you trust us with your data recovery? Experience. The following is a bit geekish, but essentially the reason we succeed where others fail. We recover your data first. We don't risk writing to your hard drive, so we don't make things worse. We understand the dynamics and logic of writing to a hard drive. We are able to access your data with zero risk of virus infection. We can recover any drive whether it be IDE, SATA, SCSI. We can recover data from accidental formatted drives, on purpose formats, loss of partitions, corruption, virus infection, slow spinners, over-heating or dropped drives. Your drives cannot infect our systems no matter how nasty the little buggers are. We can boot up your system without using your hard drive within minutes which enables us to then copy your data before we attempt to restore your hard drive. If your hard drive spins, we can get your data. If someone else says your data is history! LISTEN TO THEM!! STOP THEM IMMEDIATELY & Bring US the drive. PLEASE!!!! If data recovery is at our shop, the $100 dollar maximum will apply if we do not recover any data. Just so you understand, if a few files can be recovered, then in 99% of the cases, all data can be recovered, barring a hardware failure or major corruption that has destroyed your data already or is in the process of destroying your data.
• When we hook up a drive, we stay with it until the data is recovered. Sometimes, a slow spinning drive can take up to 48 hours. It happens. We have only not been able to recover data seven times in 4 years and of course if the drive doesn't spin up, data recovery is not possible.
• What helps us, is to know the kind of data you need most. Documents, spreadsheets, tax info, pictures, music. Prioritize your data.
• IF YOU KNOW YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, DO NOT TURN ON YOUR COMPUTER. You will only make it worse.
• You can send your data into ONTRACK data recovery centers where they have charged from between $60 to $100 per gigabyte. (If your Hard Drive is 60GB that's $6000). It does not matter if only 2 GB of usable data is found and the rest is programs. The whole Hard Drive will have to be painstakingly searched because data can be saved on any part by the operating system.
  
• Our price? For the easy ones $80. Long and difficult drives may cost up to $300, more for extraordinary circumstances. We have business relationships for local and not so local CLEAN ROOMS. They charge between $1000 to $1400 per drive. Additional costs may be $2.00 for a DVD or .10 cents for a CD or perhaps the cost of a new hard drive + $20.00 for a handling fee. Gas, time, etc.

• We love to recover data. We love a challenge. NOT ALL TECHS ARE EQUAL. TECH DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY EQUATE (=) DATA REOVERY. Their lack of time constraints or too close to knock-off time, or too much work, may result in a "I don't give a damn attitude", "This will teach them to back-up their hard drive", or it's far easier to just to wipe the drive and reinstall the programs". I've never seen this before. That's not us. We have the time to do it right or we will make you wait a little longer. Yes. ... ALL of your data is important. Don't be told or tell yourself otherwise.

• We DO NOT WORK ON RECOVERING YOUR DATA IF WE ARE TIRED. Data Recovery only occurs if we are alert, rested and not hungry. Why? We have wiped out the wrong drive in our own computers by not adhering to these simple rules. It didn't feel good.
  
• Recoveries are based upon the actual time spent making the recovery work, not the amount of data on the drive or the importance that is placed by you on the value of your data. We see all data as equally important. How the drive behaves and the symptoms displayed influence our estimates. Not all data losses are the same. It takes time to nail down the process(es) needed for a successful recover. We will not know for sure which one until we are in the thick of it.
  
• ABSOLUTELY NO GUARANTEE ON RECOVERING ANY DATA. NONE. YOU DO UNDERSTAND DON'T YOU? WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA. That is YOUR Responsibility. (You should be doing it daily or weekly depending on the pain you will incur should the unforeseeable occur. 97% of computers user do not backup. That said, we will take the time to get it right the first time. In 95% of all cases, there is only one opportunity to get your data. We are ready when that opportunity arises. That is what we can promise you.)
  
• How we approach it differs with your particular drive. We will NOT show you how we do it, because sometimes our approach changes midstream and we don't need distractions or micro management by an understandably worried customer.
• DON'T LET SOMEONE TALK YOU INTO GIVING UP TRYING TO RECOVER YOUR IRREPLACEABLE PHOTOS, DOCUMENTS, THESIS. INTERNET BROWSING FAVORITES, EMAILS!!!! Data Recovery is not easy. It takes real understanding of what happens to data when it is stored on your hard drive.
  
• WE HONESTLY HOPE YOU NEVER HAVE TO TELL YOUR KIDS; Sorry about all of your baby pictures. We were so busy and the computer never gave us a second of trouble until we were just about to back it up.
• The cheapest recovery option is to BACKUP YOUR DATA. Not sure how? Call us. We have solutions that take in consideration your good intentions, your complete lack of time, your un-ending commitments and the basic premise of "use it or lose it". All of us forget the in's and out's of not backing up consistently. I'll do it on Monday. ..... right after we finish this project.
• Microsoft says that if you have a Dynamic Disk in your system and you need to revert it back to basic, the data on the hard drive will be lost. (most programs cannot recover data off a Dynamic Disk) We beg to differ. We had 9 Dynamic Hard Drives totaling over 4.7 terabytes. They each at different times, for various reasons lost the partition, lost the Master Boot Record, shorted out or were dropped out the second story window. Western Digital's Ontrack Easy Recovery Pro could not see the partition, nor could 4 other data recovery programs. We recovered all of the data on every drive without a single lost drive
• One last note. ... if you have a tech that believes that they can get your data as well as we can, have them call us. We don't mind assisting others nor do we mind explaining why they should not attempt it. We can tell in minutes if they can do it.
  
• IF AT ANYTIME YOU ARE TOLD THAT IT CANNOT BE RECOVERED. .. STOP!..LISTEN TO WHAT THEY HAVE JUST SAID. .. SHUT DOWN THE PC, REMOVE THE DRIVE AND CALL US. IF THE DRIVE IS NOISY, CLICKS, IT MAY WELL BE HISTORY. WE SOMETIMES ARE STILL ABLE TO RECOVER THE DATA.
